Around you when you need us

Arranging a funeral

Saying goodbye will always be hard. But our family strives to do everything to make it memorable as well. We aim to create a personalised farewell that will truly honour your loved one and allow those left behind to say their goodbyes in the way they want to. Our end-to-end approach to planning allows family and friends to make informed decisions every step of the way and gives them the time and space to focus on what’s important – celebrating a life. Of course there’s a lot to consider, but we provide a calming, caring reassurance that will help you get through it one step at a time. Some of the decisions we’ll help with;

church

What type of service?

The type of service you choose is only limited by your imagination. While some people prefer a more traditional or religious service others are looking for different ways to say their farewells. Whatever the preference, we will work with you to deliver a cremation or burial service that reflects the personality and beliefs of the person who has passed. We will guide you through all the possible options and pricing, ensure that all the service requirements are booked and confirmed – and we’ll keep you fully informed throughout the process.

church

Which venue?

The venue for the service should reflect the person being honoured. Chapels are typically the most traditional and intimate environments to farewell your loved one. But we can work with any place of worship or public facility – providing that funeral services can be held at the site. So whether your chosen location is in the Central Coast, Wollongong, Western Sydney or anywhere in between we are here to help.

vehicle

What vehicles will we need?

A traditional hearse to transport your loved one is always included in our funeral plans. Other vehicles such as mourning sedans and limousines can also be arranged to take family members to the service. If your loved one was a bike fanatic, we can arrange a Harley Davidson in place of the hearse if required. If you have something specific in mind, please ask.

coffin

What about coffins or caskets?

We offer a select range of coffins and caskets to ensure that all parts of the community are catered for and that there is something available to suit all tastes and budgets. If there is a specific coffin you would prefer and we don’t stock it, please just ask and we will source it for you.

flowers

Who deals with flowers?

We can. And we know they’re a big part of the day. And that is why we partner with a florist who is also a family friend. This ensures close communications, the highest quality flowers and one less thing for you to worry about.

We supply only the freshest available so what’s delivered on the day will be a fitting tribute to your loved one.

Hymns

What about music? Hymns?

The right music can be a way to remember your loved one in a fitting way. It can offer comfort and bring joy, sorrow, peace or just simply bring back beautiful memories.

Music can set the tone and feel of the funeral service. It is important to remember that in times of stress music a a perfect remedy for calm.

Southern Cross Funerals

How much is it all going to cost?

We have packages to suit all tastes and budgets and will go through everything with you so you can make informed decisions for you and your family. For those who have already subscribed to our burial or prepaid cremation service, we’ll have all that information to hand when we make contact.

camera

What else?

We work with a professional videography and photography company who specialise in capturing the essence of a funeral service. Like us they work to the highest standards and are always respectful and discreet.
